Disappointing result for sure.

I thought you were golden when the bidding hit $20K with six days to go. Not sure where the bidders went after that.

Condition and presentation were excellent. Perhaps the trunk mounted antenna turned some bidders off?

AC would have been a plus, but velour seats are more comfortable in the summer (and winter) than leather, so there's that.

I'd rather not have a sunroof because of the rust and potential leaks. I don't think that hurt here. There's one on ebay with the sunroof painted over. Yikes.

That e3 was lucky to get to that bid, my comment then still applies: Are those metal plates added around both strut bearings? I’ve never seen those before. And I don’t understand why you would paint a car and remove nothing from the body; belt trim, door handles and locks, bumpers, tail lights, trunk lock and roundel, drip channel, rear door latches on body, side marker lights, windshields, the masking job is very poor. Definitely not Sahara but in this case it doesn’t matte, sorry but in this case I have to be honest.

I'm not saying it was a great car, just that the seller most likely lost a lot of money on it. At least Don had a reserve on his.

My Lord, that 'sahara' car is awful. I can't imagine how bad it looks in person. Paint on every damn thing it shouldn't be on..hideous. I think some people genuinely just don't notice any details whatsoever.. The wheels...oof..
