Picture accelerator pedal bracket

Hello e9 Freunden,

I replaced the floor pan of my e9 1975. When I bought the car, there wasn’t a floor pan in the car at all :-(

We have enough information on the forum of the type 1 (<1973). No information found for type 2 (>1975).

Has somebody a clear picture of the position welded to the floor panel for me? Many thanks!

With the lever already installed attach the pedal. Then attach your lower mount to the pedal and guide it onto your floor pan.
Guess there is only position possible.

My replacement pans had an indentation where the mount goes. Does not look like yours does. As Thom stated… going to be a fit it where it makes sense project.

Yes, attach the accelerator pedal above and note where it naturally positions itself below. I just installed one in the e21 I am working on (thank you Alvaro). Make sure the bracket lies totally flat on the new pan, any slight elevation and the pedal will not seat in the bracket......I had to put a thin shim in below the pedal to raise it enough to lock in.

Hi. I have the same issue.
I haven’t put the bracket back yet. After I reassemble the whole car together is move it out from storage the floor mats can be helpful to know where the pedal should be. I'll also contemplating in installing the early pedal setup, easier to fit i think.

Early pedal is stupidly costly and I had to figure it's location in my E9 which was not any easier.
