I don't know the details of the car show.

Personally, I'm quite intrigued by the Son of Cobra concept. I've done a lot of fiberglass work in the past, and I'm interested to take on the challenge of making molds, and reproducing various body panels in fiberglass or carbon fiber (which I haven't worked with). Shawn Essex's 2800cs track car caught my attention, because it has a full tilt nose and fender front panel.. reminds me of the '58 Lister I saw at Laguna Seca.

But you are starting with a heavier car, not a 2002. Would love to see you be able to drive and enjoy your e3, not a never ending project.

NMNA, Fiberglass fenders for the E3:

I've purchased from this seller in the past. Takes a bit of time to work the deal.. but I got some really nice headlight grills for my E3 from this seller... and a set of Orange Bands.

I think it'd be interesting to make copies of these and put them on my E3...
also @HB Chris these e3 “grey poupon Mustard color” fenders….in my storage currently…i have known Seller for 15-20 years and still has several e3 parts (as well as many rather good Guitars too for sale on “Reverb” some musicians website if any musicians out there want them)….fenders in good shape but maybe just have to softly clean them…anyway, just chiming in…hope someone out there really wants these fenders….can contact me OR friend/seller (914-523-3987) ask for “bmw billy”…sincere best wishes everyone, thomas westchester county ny

Maybe @Lean181 would be interested (loc. in Argentina) as his E3 has modified fenders and I would expect fiberglass ones would be little less heavy, but maybe too delicate for long trip.
