The C-tubes are mentioned in this thread as being a bolt-on upgrade to an M30 engine to deliver the torque earlier in the rpm range, making for more grunt during acceleration.

(Acc Sfdon; more info here:

So, i opted to source them for my m90 build, as they give thesame benefit as when fitted to an m30.

While searching for 6, i kept finding seperate parts, ending up with 13.

I cleaned them all in an ultrasonic bath, and had them professionally vappr honed and Cerakoted in a transparent color.
They are just wonderfully smooth, while retaining that fresh aluminium look, with a very light gloss on it.

As they are from 4 cilinder cars, date matching them is a bit difficult, but for non std parts that's a bit funny anyway. They are mixed castings: 3 are 5'72 and 1 Jan'74 2 are 4'74

400 euro for the set of 6. (Plus shipping)

1 seperate one with a blemish in the paint layer. 50 euro's. (Plus shipping)

Harvested in Germany, ultrasonically cleaned at home, vaporhoned and Cerakoted at the only licenced Cerakoted shop in NL.
Shipping from NL.

Fyi, i a recent post by @honyama improvements of +43 Nm and +14 HP were given, based on comparing actual dyno runs with original C-tubes and with the e21 ones (like mine for sale)
Honyama also states to loose some Nm's and Hp in the 5500 rpm range, but you're not around in those rpm's nearly as often as at 1700rpm.

"
engine rpm Old setup New setup Delta

1700 rpm 224 Nm 267 Nm (+43 Nm or 14 Hp!!!!)
...."
