20% fewer cars this year due to possible rain which won’t arrive until tonight.

Nice pics, thanks Chris...any others take any pics? Please add for the rest of us that couldn't make it. Looks like a decent turnout though even w/ 20% less turnout. Plus Halloween probably had something to do with it. As you now, SoCal Vintage never seems to draw a big E9 crowd for whatever reason. Nice to see John still putting this on, it seems like there is always a lot of work that goes into it that sometimes people overlook.

Cool to see REYN's setup on the M10's. Looks like that is all out of prototype stage. I'll ask him if an M30 version is coming or maybe you asked the question Chris? I know it was in the works but that was at least 5 years ago when I asked that, before me moving to Idaho which is coming up on 6 years now.

Any feedback from those running that intake?

That's also one of the best Colorado paint jobs I've seen. My sister has a beautiful Colorado Tii and it is very nice but this looks exceptional and doesn't have what I call a Butterscotch tint, this looks more orange. Who's Colorado e9 (CSL?) is that? I'm sure a member here huh?

Well, it looks like both the BMWs on Saturday and the French-Italian cars on Sunday dodged the rain bullet. I was at Woodley on Sunday with the Alfa Romeo crowd and it was a good event. Not great - we had about 3/4 of our usual attendance - but my friends were there and since it becomes more about the people than the cars, that was OK. The ranks of French cars were also about 3/4 their usual, while the Fiat, motorcycle, bicycle and vendor turnouts seemed smaller.

I'm not an avid photographer, but here are a couple of photos that I shot. At least we got to enjoy blue skies on Sunday:

This Sprint Speciale won the Alfa club's People's Choice award and truly deserved it (and no, it is not one of my Alfas):

Wow, I had a feeling you were pretty close by. My friend owns a home right there that his son now lives in and it just missed them too, but not as close as you, I don't think. It's scary. My folks home in Santa Rosa was almost lost back during the Tubbs fire. Fire went completely around the house up to the gravel walkway. It's a long story why I think it survived when just in their sprawling rural community alone, about 100 homes were lost out of around 107. They were one of the 7. That was just a small area of what that fire engulfed from Napa to Sonoma counties.

Then the property almost got hit again a couple years later literally during my Dad's memorial. That night evacuations again but so much of the undergrowth had already burned, trees, etc that it spared the area for the most part. Still a ton of structures, vineyards, property etc. were lost nearby. Pretty crazy stuff, glad you, your family and all your wonderful rides were spared.

I used to take my dog to throw the tennis ball in that soccer field; first pic. What I thought was amazing was how quickly nature will rejuvenate. It still looks nothing like it did growing up but at least green shoots started to come back. The big trees of course gone forever and will be a long time until they mature like the ones that burned. Giant oak trees, burned from the inside the fire was so hot, eventually they topple over when they look healthy from the outside. So weird. The steel rebar in the concrete foundations melted from the inside rendering even those unusable in a rebuild. I've never heard of that before.
