My BMW journey has begun

For the record…

The non AC shift console is absolutely different in the very front by about two inches

This front piece accommodates the drop to the wooden shelf down there in front of the shift console.

The automatic shift console has only a narrow slot for the shift shaft and there are two versions early and late - two different automatic transmissions with different distance throws in the shifter.

So- altogether 6 different consoles were made . Auto early and late with or without AC and manual with or without AC.

There is no difference between automatic and manual side panels

In an effort to fully protect the bottom of my tank I sprayed the bottom half of the tank with rino liner and I'm not happy with the results. I wish I would have just had it powder coated.

not sure you want to powder coat a gas tank ... no idea what the heat would do to the seams / seals. i think all you needed to do to your primer was just to put a good epoxy satin black paint on it.

Somehow I ended up with a 325i exhaust gaskets. Does anyone know the bmw P/N for the header exhaust gaskets for an E9?
i don't but if you look it up on realoem.com or on some of the retailers (fcpeuro, rmeuropean or autohausaz), you can find it. there are 2 styles - the 6 individual gaskets and the 2 piece (3 hole each) gasket with the heat shield.
