    My '73 CSi on BaT

Yeah, as we've discussed before, the color change to non-(cool)-70s color definitely puts a lot of potential buyers on the sidelines. I remember making that choice away from the original Nachtblau, thinking "Well, how much could this possibly hurt me if I ever sell it?" Ahem.

    My '73 CSi on BaT

$22k more than two years ago. I think it was pretty realistic, TBH. No complaints from me. I'll certainly be directing the new owner to the forum here.

    My '73 CSi on BaT

For everyone's sake, I'm hoping the same! There aren't too many more stops I can pull out... We'll have to have another BaT experience retrospective post-sale. See you on the other side, and thanks to all who commented in support (or bit their tongues)!

    My '73 CSi on BaT

Ha. I think the WerkShop used tongue depressors or kids' fingers to put that sealer on. It looks worse in the pictures than IRL, but still. And that wasn't the PO; that was under my/their "watch." All the restoration was at my direction, so if there's anything wonky...that's directly or...

    My '73 CSi on BaT

BTW, I'm selling the x_atlas0 fuel cap holder with the car. Should add another $1k alone...

    My '73 CSi on BaT

Those wheels are getting some love in the auction comments. They're holding up well! They do present very well when when polished up--I had the center mesh painted in a dolphin gray (IIRC an Audi B6 shade), which gives them some subtle contrast in the center versus a silver.

I will certainly comment either directly if asked, but yes, that is their preference--to have commenting handled through them.

    My '73 CSi on BaT

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-bmw-3-0csi-32/ Looks like my auction just went live. Let’s hope the second time (and some Avant Garde) is the charm. I’ve already messaged a couple of Portlanders on the forum that the car is nearby. If any other PNW locals would like to see it just to...

Best way to sell a base model 1990 Mercury Cougar with 12k miles?

That's quirky enough that it might gets some mileage (pun intended) on Cars & Bids. The DeMuro crowd has a sense of humor that BaT never will. Just a thought. On the other hand, it's also something you'd expect to see on your local Craigslist, if you can tolerate the randos.

    Ceylon CSi on BaT

Four bidders currently chasing it up into overtime. ETA: $147k. Sold.

    Drew Gregg cover and centerfold!

Got mine as well. Was also delighted to see the coverage of Don Dethlefsen, since he's the "father" of my restoration.

What determines a vehicle being a TOURING model.

As the owner of a 330ix wagon touring, I can confirm that's BMW's go-to language. Audi opts for "avant," IIRC.

    DAVE CRUZ?

Car lift for a home garage use.

It's really a non-issue; Atlas even notes that it's optional. I did put some rubber exercise-floor material underneath each post foot since I did notice the lift "walking" a small amount after a few ups and downs. My pebbled epoxied floor is the main issue for that. A concrete or even smooth...

Car lift for a home garage use.

The other thing to watch with four-posters is leveling the corners. At least with Atlas, if the posts are not REALLY close to level (meaning the two at the door end adjusted UP for the pitch of your garage floor), it's possible for the locking extensions to, um, misinterpret their resting points...

Car lift for a home garage use.

This happened to me once or twice as well. The cables will jump off a pulley and bind with the next cable over. I forget how I finagled it, but I did get the cable back on the pulley. The mfr does request full slack in the cables (and retraction of the hydraulic piston rod) when the safety...

Car lift for a home garage use.

If this is useful info to anyone, here's my lift details. I have an Atlas four-post with extended height. (XH-PRO8000EXT) I've had the hydraulics replaced under warranty (leaking cylinder) but other than that, it's been a champ. I opted for the four-post because my garage floor has radiant heat...

    Baikal CSi on BaT

I thought the same. We'll see if Portland works better for me in a few weeks. Stay tuned.

Anyone have or familiar with mini split HVAC systems?

I have a Daikin mini-split also, handling ~400sq ft office above my detached garage. It's been a godsend in Chicago winters and summers, and was the only option we had for the build. (Radiant heat in the garage floor below has helped in the winter, too.) A few comments to add: It's three years...
