Fair Market Value of E9 - Insurance Company is offering me $12k

Fair Value Fair value = unfair value. Always have policy state "Agreed Value." Are they totalling the car or just arguing what it will cost to repair? If you do repair & keep the car, you can also try to get "diminished value." Last summer my DB7 got backed into by a p/u truck. Driver had...

    E15 Ethanol Gasoline, Stay Away!!!!!

E15 Back on Oct. 26th I wrote on this very subject. Got over 120 views, but surprisingly got no comments. I'm glad someone brought it up again with the facts, especially about voiding new car warranties.

    E15 gasoline

I recently read an article in the National Motorist Assoc. magazine about newer federal legislation requiring gas to go from 10% to 15% ethanol. It is apparently not all that beneficial for engines, particularly prior to 2001. It may only apply to regular gas, but I'm not sure. Anyone familiar...

    Center Console Options (?)

For that area, I fashioned an arm rest by rolling up some heavy duty bubble wrap & then covering it with a small plaid blanket. I'd rather have something more professional looking.

What do you drive when not driving the E9???

Daily driver Back in August 2010 I posted that I had driven a DB7, but felt it wasn't suitable for a daily driver. Well, the following month I changed my mind & bought a 2011 DB7 Vantage for my...daily driver. With mixed feelings, I just sold my 1997 840ci.

    Battery power

I'm in the Phila., PA area. How many CCA does a '73 coupe need? Car came with a battery @ 800CCA. I'm partial to Interstate. Their website shows the battery for this car @ 590CCA. Is that sufficient or should I continue with the extra CCA? Car is in an unheated 2nd floor building garage. Thanks.

Octane... proof?! (or a dumb question?)

Top Tier BMW (as well as a few others) endorses Top Tier gasolines. I believe it's due to better detergents in the gasoline. Google this & you can get the list. In my area (Phila suburbs) it's Shell, Texaco, & Exxon.

    1974 coupe f/s, Pennsburg, PA

My recollection of the car was a lighter shade of blue (approaching a powder blue) than the 2 pictures show. I notice that even shifting the angle of my laptop screen gives off several shades of blue.

On Craigslist & for sale again by same owner (Kell Motors) who did all the work. I looked at this restored car 3 years ago during my search. Has 1973 bumpers & 5-spd. Very nice. Asking $33k. I just could not get past the Riviera Blue color. (No affiliation, etc.)
