Wow, nice find there! I love old vintage VWs, my first car was a 71 beetle. Currently I have a 64 and 56 beetle and love how simple and fun they are. Sadly my 64 is for sale cause I just don't have the space for all 5 of my cars. Anyone interested in a nice 64 beetle?

Right now I'm in the process of refinishing my style-5's and about half way done with polishing the barrels and will mount some 205/40/17 tires to see if I still have issues with rubbing. These are the rings that I got off ebay...

I have the same exact issue with the 17x8 style-5 wheels that I just picked up for my '71 2800cs with stock suspension. The tires on mine are the same 235/45/17 and are rubbing on the front strut as well. I was gonna order new 205/40/17 tires and was wondering if anyone has used this size...
