    M30B34-Powered Euro 1973 BMW 3.0CSi 5-Speed

I teared up a little when I read that this morning...<sniff> Thanks for the underscoring of my own comment. I don't think anyone at BaT will object. FYI, in discussion with my auction "adviser," he also noted that they had been inconsistent on these displacements in the past, and added: "Our...

    M30B34-Powered Euro 1973 BMW 3.0CSi 5-Speed

The seats themselves are Recaros. E21, I believe. Or were you asking about the upholstery?

    M30B34-Powered Euro 1973 BMW 3.0CSi 5-Speed

Well, I actually looked harder just now, without a car under the lift, so I could stand underneath the car with a flashlight. I now conclude it IS actually a scrape, but not THROUGH the undercoating, thankfully. It follows an odd path from front to back, inside the frame rail to the floor pan...

    M30B34-Powered Euro 1973 BMW 3.0CSi 5-Speed

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for comments on the '74 items. I myself was blissfully unaware of the provenance of those, so hard to say where the Werk Shop found them. They have been functional, I will say.

    M30B34-Powered Euro 1973 BMW 3.0CSi 5-Speed

Whoa. That does look crazy. Never noticed before, but I just went to the garage to check. It's a split in the undercoating, from what I have no idea. I poked my fingernail into the crack and there's more undercoating underneath it, so maybe it just dried that way? Nothing metal-related. Thanks...

    M30B34-Powered Euro 1973 BMW 3.0CSi 5-Speed

Not on an E9. Introduced in 1979. Like I said in the comments, a bit of a cheat.

    Another 1973 CS on BaT

I I don't want to bomb the forum with more self-promotional BaT links. There's a new thread up top if you want to find it.

    M30B34-Powered Euro 1973 BMW 3.0CSi 5-Speed

Hi again, all. That’s my CSi. I’ve dropped a few hints here over the past couple of months as BaT has prepared the listing (and I’ve painfully, painstakingly tried to edit), and now it’s live. Which is weird. And bittersweet. If anyone here has questions, spots omissions or has comments that...

    1973

I kinda wish he'd keep his peculiar brand of vitriol off of other listings, too. This is on the current CS listing on BaT:

    1973

I see this thread has been edited and retitled "1973." I would now like to offer only positive observations about "1973": - Miami Dolphins' perfect season - Dark Side of the Moon - The Godfather wins Best Picture - Skylab is launched - Spiro Agnew resigns - Kristen Wiig is born - "Let's Get it...

    Um...B34 or B35 engine?

So, not to resurrect a dead horse, but I'm having trouble with a certain <ahem> auction site not calling my engine a "3.5L". Many conversations, and coachable moments, and still they have it as a "3.4L," I'm guessing due to the B34 designation. Given that the block is clearly stamped 3.5, the...

E9’s are selling like Hotcakes on BAT 73 with 5 speed

Looks like you'll have another opportunity to ask the seller. It's coming back! https://www.collectorchassis.com/collection/270/482 And according to his FB post today, "Seeking $87,900" Higher price/reserve definitely seems like the right move here.

    73 CS on BAT

Y'all are spooky with the intel. Yeah, that's my unit at the Geneva Concours (alongside Luis, who took the hardware), like 6 years ago. Color is Ascot Gray, but looks darker here in the shadows. I'll give the forum the whole rundown when we get closer...

He had it back for sale on FB within 20 minutes of the auction ending. No price listed.

    Tool tray NMNA

FWIW, my friendly local BMW dealer quoted me $500+ a few weeks back for the newer/stronger tray. And delivery from Germany sometime in September, thanks to supply chain, yadda yadda.

E9’s are selling like Hotcakes on BAT 73 with 5 speed

The seller is starting to get really defensive now at even the mildest comments. I'm actually surprised at the gentle treatment this one has gotten so far, considering the apparent bodging.

Mine was restored at the Werkshop. Happy to provide observations if you message me directly.

Is this interior made out of frosting, or have I been watching too much Great British Baking Show?
