If you want some really exciting views you can take Black Bear over the mountain from Ouray to Telluride. That does require an off-road vehicle with a skilled driver. Not recommended for anyone with a fear of height.
Well, the story is not as challenging. That is the work of a little Photoshop. I have gotten into the habit of not showing my actual license number on the Internet. I don't know why for sure because anybody could get it on the road. I have just seen other people do it and thought it is...
Not to imply that my 69 Cobra is any where near the class of a Frua, but the roof line of the Frua reminds me of the roof line on my Cobra Sportsroof. I guess most fastbacks have a similar roof line. The Cobra has a scale smaller window but has a trunk. look.
I had a 73 Pinto Wagon back then. It had the 2L engine with a four spd. It didn't have great power but that didn't keep me from driving it hard. My wife and I used to camp all over the country in it. I even tried to go off-road in it once in Death Valley. I realized very quick, it was too...
I am probably aware of all the CM5804 radios available online including that one. Unfortunately, it is in Oregon, does not work and looks in pretty bad condition. I actually found one in SoCal but it sold before I could get a look at it. There is one in Colorado that looks to be in excellent...
Chris, I think that radio came with some kind of frame to install in the original opening to hold the radio. It locks the radio in place. I don't know if that is what you are referring to as the female receiver bracket.
I have the original radio but it is AM only. I bought the Audio Systems Inc radio around 83 from Crevier BMW and all the wiring is in place for it. I really don't want to rewire it if at all possible. I have grown to like that style radio too.
I am looking for a model number CM5804 BMW radio made by Alpine that was supposedly came with some 320, 533, 733 series BMW's from 83 to 85. It is possible they were in other models around those years too. I have found a few but am looking for one in the SoCal area so I can check to see if it...
I actually found "Knives Out" a couple evenings later. Still not the kind of movie I normally watch but this is a great movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Coupe was the cherry on top.
I saw a movie that was available to stream on the internet. It was called "Knives and Skin". I just remembered your movie was called "Knives something". So I decided to watch it. It was a very strange movie and had no Coupe in it. Not my kind of movie. I will pay closer attention to movie...
I agree with the use of transistorized ignition system. Many years ago I had a 1973 FJ55 Landcruiser that liked to eat points. I installed an aftermarket transistor ignition system and drove it for 10 years without having to change the points again. I did periodically measure the point gap to...
I have been running Pertronix on two different cars for over ten years. I had a problem with one that was installed by the previous owner. It was good for about 4 years and the sensor burned out. That is when I learned about why they fail. Everything must be set up properly to get long life...
I know things go right over my head sometimes but would someone please explain how the differential position has anything to do with camber? Last time I looked it appears the trailing arms control camber and the drive axles flex to eliminate any angularity change from the differential. Is this...
When I bought my Coupe in 1980, it was very similar in color to that 75 CSi. It had been repainted because someone had put a long, deep key stripe in it for taking two parking spaces. I was told the shop painted it with a Chevy color. The owner of the Coupe certainly noticed the change and...
Since we are knocking off points, I don't think the rear amber turn signals are correct either. I am pretty sure my 67 2000CS had red rear turn signals. I know my 70 2800CS has the red ones.
