Aaaargh, who started this thread? Before I didn't even think about the chrome arches. They were on my car and that was all.
Now I'm thrown between no arches and arches and when I look at E9 pictures, the only thing I look at are arches. I dream arches! I can not decide. ;)
Maybe an interesting auction if you choose the Weber path (NMNA)

I'm curious to see the auction result :) --> Sold for 5650 Euro.
@dp thanks for the tip! The seller was a great guy as soon as I reach him on phone. No problems at all and only 60 Euro shipping to Germany.
Now I'm a happy owner of early Alpinas :)
Barry, I like your car and the black Schnitzers look great! Perfect to that rally look with extra headlights and stickers. But keep the outer chrome ring on the wheels as you have, they make all the difference!
@Drew20 if you are looking for the original Alpinas then check this out.

Even if they are not early ones without 5 extra holes the price seems fair. But be careful, I have spotted several Alpina scams...
Just a note and I don't really know how well this applies to the E9 but there was a BMW 2002 set on eBay that went for 2300 Euros.

Markos, does the E24 chrome have the same width and profile, or at least similar?
By the way, I have seen in pictures of the E24 door card that they don't have the same fastening (tack strips) as the E9. Wonder if that's correct?
I've noted that there are at least 3 different surface styles on those sound deadeners (honeycomb, smooth etc.).
Did they vary with production year or what's the reason for it?
I couldn't find the aluminium trim as a single item at www.etkbmw.com, just as part of a complete door panel.
Maybe it's worth buying an used E24 panel just to see how it looks when installed on an E9.
Hi!
I see on the German E9 forum (www.e9-forum.de) that KHM has a winter special with slightly reduced price of carpet sets. I'm considering buying a 2-tone-loop type.
Since I want to have a CSL-ish interior that matches the Scheel seats I'm going for black. But which black? Please help me...
Is any door chrome strip from E3, E12 etc. a suitable replacement for the front lower E9 strip? Maybe even taken from a rear panel.
I'm looking for one and don't mind if the length is a little bit too short/long or if the end parts are somewhat different. Maybe it is even possible to shorten a...
An alternative can be Backwater Custom Interiors.

They have 3 different strips, predrilled and tapped with screws.
Seem also to be available on eBay by seller lee484
@m73 have a look at this I once wrote.

What you have on the picture is probably a Scheel 101. They seem to be "beefier" around the shoulders. Do you have a side view picture? If a 101 there should be a adjustment wheel on the left.
Hmm, it's for sale (NMNA) but I don't know what it is. Maybe it should be in the fore sale section :)
