The off white velour/black was an original interior color option. A past forum member, who lived here in the Portland area, had a coupe in this same color combo, I've always really liked the look of this interior.

I had those same Vader seats in my e36 M3, just me but I thought they were very comfortable - really great seats. They don't work in an e9 though.

Paint and body look great!! I don't think that gap is anything to worry about, you might not be able to close it any tighter than that.
