    1975 e9 3.0cs on BaT - Closes @1:45 cst Today

With respect to all involved, one is not like the other. I think this price was fair for this car and considering what it made at the height of the market and now today on a down market, price was correct IMHO

    1980 BMW M1

I personally know of six other owners in NA, who still have an E9 and an M1: Dirk in Florida, Scott in the Carolinas, Lance in Cincinnati, Ben in NY, then we have Markus in Toronto, also Manfred of BMW Northwest and I currently own both a street and race version. I have no doubt there are more...

    1973 Going to sell

Good luck with your sale. It all depends on price; if the price is appealing, maybe somebody here will be interested. If the objective is to see what the market will do, then one of the major internet auction sites is your best bet. There will be lots of good advice here, but the only one I...

    2002 Turbo

I know I am preaching my own book, but I am also seeing signs like this Turbo. The fast sale of the Werks CSL, I understand, another one that was on sale previously is also about to be sold. I see M1 prices creeping back from the doldrums of figures in the 400s and heading back to the high...

    2002 Turbo

Hi Chris I hope you don't mind, I added this comment to your BAT post and then thought some others here might appreciate the comment ...... @HBChris, your friend the geek here Although some people claim 12 in other colors, that is a little misleading as some of the early cars, including my...

BMW M car and works development CSL

Sold !!! Wonderful to see how much recognition this sale and its marketing have given to our E9 race cars. As mentioned, it is a truly great car, and I had no doubt it would sell quickly, but the marketing was top-notch and deserving of the car and its history.

    Famous 3.0 CSL owners

As somebody who was a teenager in the 70s and with that car having a 1973 license plate, when I was 14. 1973 was the year, I first remember seeing and loving E9s, I can still visualise it on the Kings Rd in London with an L plate. Now for the embarrassing part :-) -- I also dreamed of a pair...

Yes they do, and I have even found more than one date for the same car.

BMW M car and works development CSL

Yes, built after the Broadspeed E9, as none of the official 21 Werks CSLs built from scratch for racing were built by then, this car 2276000 was the first. So standard street CSL's from the batch of early carb cars were used for testing things before the Werks cars were built. When these Werks...

BMW M car and works development CSL

Wonderful car, impeccable provenance, ownership/history off the charts. If I did not already have a Werks CSL, this would be a no-brainer to own; it really is as good as it gets in the E9 world. Absolutely love it

The actual wording of Tariff code 9903.01.33 that is kicking our ass.

1976 BMW 3.0 CSL Group 2 Race Car

Hi Keshav, All is not quiet as it seems, while it sold for $566,978 in US dollars - that is about right for this car my friend and does not reflect the market for racing CSLs at all

Important “Firsts” for the E9 or E3?

Would love to find that poster of the Sebring winner, if anybody has one. The German version is all over eBay, but the English version, not so much.

Well I guess that kitchen remodel project is out of the question now…. And no new couch…

So effing sad, I feel sorry for anybody in any part of those industries and in our mutual hobby/passion, the idea that some American is going to start a W&N with American workers and manufacturing etc is just assinine, we simply will pay more for furniture and car parts and many other "things"...

Guys - all the talk here is obviously frustrating, but as an Englishman, your government has now stepped over a line, please expect the return of King George and a rematch :-)

    RM Sotheby's Auction Results - Monterey 2025

Agreed Chris, I was in the market to buy it back if it went for silly money, with the premium it was $296k which I think was about right for that car in todays market. Crazy to think I paid 74,750 Euros (including premium ) for that very car in the Bonhams "Power by BMW" sale in 2011.
