@Bmachine, Mistake aside, the M635 never hand an M90. The M535i did though. M635 had an M88. 635csi to 1982 had an m90. 1983+ 635csi had a 10:1 B34.

...mistakes: --My 3.0CSi still has, I believe, the 3.25 rear end. --The 2800CS I parted out 35 years ago had the 3.45, which is now in my '79 Euro 635CSi. I incorrectly extrapolated that and assumed all US-spec CS cars had the 3.45. Sorry for the misinformation, and thanks for the correction. Rob

83 is b34 Motronic 1.1, b35 is 87-91 735I, 88-89 635CSi. The question is what ecu and harness is needed for an S38 I think, IDK.

Guess would be a 1979-1981 635csi. Alternatively it could have been an M535i (e12), or an e30 M3.
