Thank you for the replies!
The black plates are Italian historic plates, I believe. Unfortunately they had to be returned to the local authorities when the export papers were made.
I do AC work in my shop so I have all the right equipment to do it, actually I had just finished the retrofit on...
Congratulations and welcome to the family. I don't own an E9, but your '83 Euro 635CSi is / was absolutely beautiful. (I formerly owned an '85 M635 variant that had been imported to the US. Euro E24 bumpers are the best!)
...to introduce you to my dream vintage BMW, my new to me 1969 2800CS (VIN: 2200661).
I got the car at the end of April after selling my 83 Euro 635csi. My dream 2 car solution was always an '02 and E9 but when I first got into classic cars I could only afford an E21 and eventually added the...
Between this and the current 635CSi that shot to $62.5K within an hour of starting, seems that maybe there are more people just putting their stake in the ground in an effort to avoid the last-minute skyrocket. It would be an interesting psychological study of bidding to assess whether auctions...
..."The infamous "duck" gasket refers to the small, distinctively shaped rubber seal on the rear timing chain/cam cover of BMW M30 engines (found in classic CS/CSi models like the E9 3.0CSi and E24 635CSi). It frequently causes elusive, frustrating oil leaks at the back of the cylinder block."
Here is the
Attached is the seat tag from my Euro 1980 635csi. I was able to get the codes from Andreas Harz at BMW Group Archive. Both attached. Perhaps the same can be done for the build sheet.

The 2nd variant is a custom build from the E9 CSL with Hime joints for tension adjustment. I believe...
Crystal 635csi for sale, about 8" long. Sand carved under side of interior and engine bay, beautifully done. Wood base was cheesy when new, label is also, and sort of messed up. I was going to put on a walnut or mahogany base and have the 635csi laser burnt, or bottom light box base with colored...
The e24 csi brake calipers are not bolt on replacements. You need e24 hubs to make that work. I'm looking at swapping over the hubs and calipers from the Series 1 e24 shell I just bought once I finish that project (which will be a while).
Your car, but my experience is the M90 has more than enough torque to pull a 265/6 with 3.07 diff. The CRtrans will limit your top end. The M90 is not a high reving engine. Major suspension swaps are on your own.. fraught with handling and figment issues, but if that where you want to go, then...
...Group 4 body kit, with wide fenders, so I’ll have to find wheels that will fill the space. That’s why I was considering the wider suspension swap, to help fill all the extra space and upgrade stock suspension. What about brakes upgrade, are e24 635csi calipers bolt on replacement for stock ones?
I just bought a shell like this for my 78 635csi project. https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/m90-dogleg-3-07lsd-drop-out.44518/post-436702
These are really cool cars.
Hello guys, I have 1979 BMW e24 635 csi for sale. The car is without engine, transmission and rear differential as I was planning to swap it to a different setup. It has clean title and is in really good condition. If someone is interested please reach out to me, I’ll send you videos and...
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to show you guys my 1985 635csi euro that I bought off of BaT in early October. I saw it the first day it went up for auction and commented that it was a beautiful shark, then didn't think anything else about it. I was looking for another e30 just have fun in but my...
My 79 635csi was imported into the US and federalized in 1984. The door bars were added as they were required to meet US safety requirements. Rear side markers were also added. These are lights and not just reflectors on my car (or were until I removed them).
...'88 635 also in Seattle:

Looks like a great car event! I see a lot Chevys down by the water. A 53?, 55, 59, 60, 61, 62, 62, 63, 64, and a 67 - it would have been cool if they would have lined them up by year.
