I’ve been trying to figure out the backstory on this car, been listed on Marketplace up here for awhile.

Also, in the seller’s profile pic on FB is a white CSL replica that was for sale in VT in around 2018. I believe that car became this car:

Someone on here might know more!

i have messaged the seller and asked for the VIN and would like to see some pics of the engine and inside the car. will share what i learn.

this is Sean O'Connor's car, but the pics have been hi-jacked ... the pics are not of his car. Sean has noted that the car is not available + "Sorry about that this ad is not the correct ad somebody changed it ?? "

This Green Gosser Beer CSL tribute car was purchased by me in 2019 on BAT. The car was sold by the son of Rolf Humberg of Burlinton VT.
Rolf purchased the car from the Coupe Guy in Colorado in 1995 and finished the conversion to a 3.0 CSL. Sean O'Connor was a friend of Rolf who prepared an M88/s engine and coil over suspension and heavy duty disc brakes on all four wheels. Rolf had raced the car at Watkins Glen for over 10 years and I actually competed against him in 2011. Improvements made to the car by my son have included a close ratio Getrag 265 race transmission, modern fuel injection system with the best ECU and coil over electrical system. I have raced this car for five years at Watkins Glen, Lime Rock and Road America. The performance equals that of the IMSA BMW CSL that won the Sebring 12 hour race outright. 380 rear wheel HP in a 2500 pound car.

May I ask if the Coupe Guy from Colorado is Dan Koturov?
I have been in touch with him around 2010 when I inspected a CSL in Germany for him.
he is mostly retired from being coupeguy. still has some stuff but not in the business of buying cars anymore. his website has disappeared and is rarely on the forum.

Thanks for the information, really appreciated!
I recognized his website is no longer active; bought some fiberglass parts around that time so was in touch with him when the Gehring brothers sold their "collection" of three CSLs from different generations and he asked me to inspect them. I wonder what happened to 4355-002 afterwards? I think I found it listed in the ancestry project, will have another look :)
