100K coupe

Hello? This is CSL money, and a very good CSL at that.
How about 100 pictures, including those from the build? Even then, 30-45K.
What is jabberjaw worth, if this car is 100K. 250K?

I suppose if the owner had the car built professionally, he could easily have spent $100K. Still, the amount you spend building a car, and the amount it commands in the market, are not necessarily related.

My sense is that the owner really doesn't want to sell it. Or plans to torch it for the insurance, and is trying to establish a value. Doubt he'll get any bids.

Most of us are looking for as original as possible. And of course "rust free." Stuffing an M engine, making all those mods and not even removing the ugly DOT reflectors does not add value. What kind of rainforrest leaves is this guy chewing?

Not just a big river in Egypt is it! Not sure what all that guff about Z8's and GT's was and how it was relevant to your question. I guess in the end it is only worth what it is sold for.

I saw this very car last year when it (also) was listed on e-bay.

Nice car.
Clean installation of M5 engine and trans....
Interesting nav and stereo set up.
Excellent presentation.
Didn't drive it - but did start it and see how everything worked...
It's in Novato - the seller has a variety of cars -

Worth $100k?
If you're Bill Gates and have a wad of cash you want to play around with - sure.

Not for me though.

I went to see the question/reply on this auction as suggested, but what caught my eye was the one posted above it: is that Jranman trying to trade his 6 series?

@Alvin - I think you are referring to the Polaris one that was in Bimmer not long before it appeared on eBay. That one also had a swap (and accompanying value inflation).

My sense is that the owner -snip- ... for the insurance, and is trying to establish a value... -snip-

Is the industry that malleable now-a-days? -smile-

f.w.i.w. I think the collective heads are spinning because this seller's just out-parched Parch

Seller has dropped the starting bid to $35,000 since there were no *surprise* bidders at $100,000. He has a reserve, so he may still be delusional.

I love the 70s period BBS "mag" wheels. I haven't heard that term since high school!
