Hi there,
Are 16" wheels the maximum you can put on a CSL without spoiling the cars handling?
I would be very grateful if someone would be kind enough to let me know the correct offsets, wheel widths and PCD for the perfect fit?

Regards
Ash

wheels

Hi Ash,

I'd suggest using the Search facility and looking at previous threads on this very subject - there are loads of them. The 16" staggered wheel change has been discussed many times.

In short from memory - a lot of folk go for the 16" Alpinas - 16x7 on the front with 205/55/16's, and 16x8 rear wheels with 225/50/16's. THats the set up I have on my CSi with Bilstein shocks. The wheel offsets, wheels rubbing? issues have been covered many times too.

Hope this helps,

I have a different less popular set up but works great. I have 215x50x16 front 245x45x16 rears with 7" front offset is 11 and rear 8" offset 20 rear. Correct 16" Alpina offsets are 11 for 7" front and 24 for 8" rears. My fenders were already rolled and I have the springs from La Jolla. You will find that given two identical cars that one will need rolling the fenders and the other not. I do know if this is because of the variation in the assembly line or also that every tire's profile is different even with the same specs.
