1966 2000 c

If I am not mistaken, the regular floorboards the rest of the E9 family uses should work, including the reinforced ones people have been using with great results.

As for the number of 2000CS-es, I would imagine it is pretty low, given it wasn't a popular car to begin with.

Hi!

They will fit, I know because I have made the transplantation myself and all the welding. Since you have a 1966 with a low ch.nr. I suspect that you will not get the exact design of the reinforcement, but that is maybe a minor problem if you do not want 100% originality?

1966 and 1965 2000cs are becoming very rare nowadays. The earliest versions used stainless steel instead of aluminum in almost all the ornaments, which is more or less impossible to find replacement parts of today, however, it will make the car heavy as a tank, and given the power of at best 120PS, you will have a very undermotorised car.

Best regards,

..... how many of these cars still exist

Nobody seems to have any reliable numbers about how many CSs exist, 4 or 6 cylinder. Having said that, I am convinced that a much smaller percentage of 2000CSs survived. Just look at how few you ever see in any condition. For example, here in the Washington, DC area (USA) I have seen or heard of perhaps 30 E9s in recent years, but know of only one other 2000CS besides mine. You rarely see them for sale, at BMW events or wherever.

Mike Pelly has the floor pans you need, see his recent post.
