1968 BMW 1600 - "Perfect Time Capsule" San Francisco

Collector car, serious inquiries only please. Full mechanical restoration just completed (crate 1.6 liter engine from Germany), everything done right. Black & Yellow plate original CA car, always garaged and registered, original bill of sale and all original manuals. NOT in a hurry to sell, looking for a good home to a loving BMW enthusiast. It's a cliche, but this car is truly a head turner. The car will be shown in person by appointment, I don't wish to post further pictures or answer questions over email. Price to be determined between the parties.

Pretty funny ad. Sort of: "if you read craigslist, then you're probably not worthy of this car".

Odd that a 2002 that has been "done right" would be missing its hubcaps.

If that's Sahara it won't fetch the big bucks. Love 1600's though, love the old pic but I have a feeling this guy/gal is looking for crazy money...nice teaser ad...hubcaps are easy to find I think they are referring to the mechanical part of the restoration as being "done right"....let us know if anyone on here buys it...

It's missing hubcaps because those wheels are from a 74-76 2002! Done right, perhaps not.

(Greetings from Prague)

alternatively, this 1600 is only $100.

And the ad reads: All other parts are for sale in the parts section under the same title.

I always love it when someone is both selling the car and parting it out, at the same time. Kinda makes you wonder what's going to be left by the time you take delivery.
