1968 BMW 2002 resto

Hi guys

Since I am used to this forum I would use this topic to track progress over time and show you work on my 2002.

I have bought it one month ago from second owner family. The BMW 2002 VIN 1613552 was manufactured on July 19th, 1968 and delivered on July 29th, 1968 to Yugoslavia. The original color was Polaris metallic, paint code 060.

It was repainted in 70s in different color. It looked quite solid but only time will show how solid it is beneath bitumen.

@CSteve plan is to install s14 engine and go for the "turbo" look. But since it is early model I would weld on flares from VW MK1 and keep front bumper:
