1970 2800cs red LA craigslist $11k

Oh oh!! Seems like we have seen this sort of scam several times now. I remember a handsome fiord CSI listed in several southern cities. And a Hunting Ridge car with its pictures placed elsewhere.
 
For the record, there is no such thing as a rust free e9 :-) also, I can see rust right through that bad carpet! And yes, y'all did have a field day with that radio a while back-
 
Reminds me of the first car I ever bought (a 71 240-z ) It had fresh paint and black undercoat in the inside of the fenders. When I got it home, I proudly told my brother, Look, no rust !!

That thing tought me about rust.

Their plan is to sell the 2000CS mirror to the highest bidder and throw in the rest of the car as a bonus. It's like the 2 AM Juicer infomercials.
 
So what's the story on the 2800CS? Is the paint job hiding something terrible? The black paint is a little scary in the photos.

I live right by gull wing motors and have checked this car out. First of all they have no paperwork on this car at all. Secondly it has been in an accident at some point since the lower fenders have a flat finish and the hood and front valence have paint flaking off showing green paint underneath. On top of that the fender seam is completely rusted out with a layer of paint over it and there are spots of rust in all the usual palces

For $20,750 I wouldn't expect it to be perfect. But unlike the Los Angeles CL advertiser in Vista, at least Gullwing Motors really has a car to sell!
