Don't know how to say this - the 504, second gen Corsair and E9 all are inspired by the same Italian roots:

This YouTube video ...

FIVE OVERLOOKED CLASSIC CARS YOU CAN BUY today and import on a modest budget. Why drive boring?!

...starts off with the 504. I'd own at least 3 out of 5 of them (one being the BMW). The host is relatively easy to listen to and knowledgeable.

Agree on the 504, both sedan and coupe. And the Sedan is pretty unique, not a copy of anything.
Also the E21 is cool, had a couple in the family overseas with the M20. The carb is getting hard to find...

The fiat was interesting, the e21 6 I didn't know about - a friend has an e21 and want's to put in the straight 6 (2.5 litre?). I'm sold on the 504, didn't know it was so bullet proof. Nice video @Arde !

The video was not mine. I am a picture person at most, here are my choices:

1) A Lancia for people that live in dark places: https://photos.app.goo.gl/jWfpmy56PVupUpTc7
2) If you like the E9 but want to be more exclusive the Iso Rivolta : https://photos.app.goo.gl/mmEuVXcj4vKuD1vf9
3) If you are fed up with Italy try a Spanish car i: https://photos.app.goo.gl/33Z9JJGQkCYQjMUp9
4) One driver and three friends pushing is a zero emission Pininfarina: https://photos.app.goo.gl/r4Mq9eGq6wHxR7GT7
5) Two beers, two drivers, one is handsome the other one is me: https://photos.app.goo.gl/v44vn1x9LnRrrxtP7

Oh my! This guy really knows how to pitch cars we may never have had an interest in ever owning. I would take that Peugeot Coupe if I could find one. But we all know why it languishes at an "affordable" price. Where do you find parts? Host says this car requires regular maintenance, so, when you find one, has it been maintained? And can I find the pieces to keep it together? But we all know, I would not care about that if I could find one. Willing to give it a try. ;)
Years ago, was "this close" to purchasing a Fiat 124 Coupe. Found a rust hole, top of LS fender. Owner said that was all there was, not to worry. Ran away. But still think about what could have been an amazing experience. Bought a Mini Cooper S, 1071CC, instead. Great how things work out!

I'll agree that Peugeot parts might be a bit difficult to source in North America. Did Peugeot pull out of the Canadian market at the same time they left the US?

Fiat 124's, on the other hand, are still fairly well-supported in North America. If you could find an unrusted 124, obtaining hard parts here wouldn't be difficult. I have to laugh at the suggestion that the only rust on that 124 coupe was the hole at the top of a fender. The 2-headlight, '69 coupes were always one of my favorite designs. A greenhouse that would make a 2002 owner envious.

One of my favorite shapes (and a good use of a 327 :))

Several years before the E9

well exactly. So much more rust was under there, was so obvious, and I was still a student, just trying to drive something that was different and fun. This was not to be. I rarely see these 124s around, and not rusted?, I mean what are the chances of that? Still, I look closely at any examples I see for sale. ;) If I remember correctly, early '90s was when Peugeot left Canada.

The Spanish car - what make and model is it?

I had a 72 124 Spider - rev'd like crazy. I had changed so many fuel pumps on it that I started changing it on the spot - when it broke down at a shopping mall, I walked to a parts store (Bap Geon) bought it and a cheapy socket set, changed it in the parking lot and drove away :) Loved my spider.

Stunning - I've always wondered what wire wheels would look like on an E9 - googled it and didn't find a lot of examples.
They would have to be Borrani wheels. I bet they would suit the Coupe. But like you, no photos to be found. I think it would be an expensive undertaking, and in the end, you better really like them! ;)
