anyone need a new project?
I have had this car for about 13-15 years now, I had the floors and fenders repaired about 10 years ago and they are gone again.
the car is complete but needs some work that is out of my range now and I have lost storage on my other 3 vehicles and need to make room.
As it is the most expensive of my cars to fix, it is best to let it go to some one with deeper pockets.
the good:
brand new OEM windshield in packaging
new front windshield seal in package
brand new World Upholstery carpet set still in box with receipt
stainless steel exhaust system
5 speed conversion (from automatic)
comes with great used spare tire well and spare wheels
tires are new
wheels in good condition
Petronix ignition module
all other glass is great and windows work but need to be greased again
doors have no rust to speak of, one small dent from backing my motorcycle out of the garage and the saddlebag hit it - doh!
rear half of the car is solid except one rust spot on the inside of the trunk lid and 2 small areas in the rear wheel wells
mechanical things it needs:
possibly new ignition switch (I have a second used one but have not tried it) - motor turns over when key is turned and will run as long as you hold the key turned all the way
definitely needs new spark plug wires as insulators are broken
all calipers are off the car for rebuilding, but may not actually need it as I think the rear wheels turn slowly because of the e-brake cables not the calipers as I had suspected
the rotors were new 8 years ago but have surface rust now from sitting
the bad:
tops of fenders have rusted through where they meet the inner fenders
front / top valence is rusted but the rest of the nose is great - go figure!?
front drivers floor is gone; rear passenger floor is gone
driver frame rail needs a small patch
spare tire well needs to replaced - included is a great used replacement panel
needs at least driver rocker panel (inner and outer) but I have not removed the rocker covers yet
front seats need to be redone entirely; horsehair is still there but that is about it
rear seats are pretty complete but the leather is very hard
all wood panels are there but I had veneered them in Birch and they need to be re-done; gauge cluster is not done at all
dash cover needs to be re-glued in one corner
