Windshield washer system, nozzles are on the hood.
When did that change? My 2800, the squirters are on the cowl.

I did look at this car and was seriously considering buying it. Of all the Coupes I've looked at, this was easily the straightest cleanest car I've seen. I did not put it on a lift, but I would suspect that if you did, you wouldn't find much wrong with it.
It came into the US around 1982 and spent most of its life in Texas, owned by a BMWCCA person. Some say a past president, some say a judge, I don't know.
I drove it and it drove well, except for a slight stumble. Mark Starr said he would take care of that before delivery, but most likely, it just needed a fuel system clean, and a good long drive. He has had the car for quite a while.
I offered him $45K for the car and he said I was close.
Well as nice and straight as the car is, the bottom line is that it just didn't talk to me. And if I'm going to drop that kind of money, the car better damn well talk my ear off!
Personally I think it is still too much money, even at $45K. I think that the bubble that was created by the WSJ article about the E9, has burst and you keep seeing the same coupes for sale still, over and over again, at the same unrealistic prices.
There was a super clean 74 CS that was for sale on eBay, and I would have bought that, but the day I found it, someone pulled the BIN trigger, about 3 hours later. This was the Atlantik Blue/White Leather interior car and was in Michigan.
It had a bunch of work done on it at AC Schnitzer, and ended up being a steal at $31K BIN. When talking to the owner, I'm pretty sure that his reserve was $22K, and I jumped into the auction when it was sitting at $20K.
Oh well, the search continues.
Phil
That '74 was nice and looked to be a good buy, but CSIs do command a bit higher price than '74s.
Just my $0.02.
