1972 coupé formerly James w

Well? $$$???

Toying with idea of selling my coupé I purchased in the summer from James w.
Havnet done any work during to busy schedule

It's me, I know; but if you have a sec could you provide a link to a photo bucket for this coupe? I tried your public profile, etc., but I'm sort of new to navigating these forums (can't seem to post pictures of my '73 here....).

Thanks for posting .I've no idea how to post pics

Yes; the color...

Nice. Nice. Well, I'm waiting to hear what you once speculated might be your profit ... after one year's holding....
Though I don't think it will matter much for me, since I bought one last week.

If values have risen which they clearly have why shouldn't the seller ask for today's fare market value? If he profits in the process that is great for him and he shouldn't be ashamed or made to feel like he is doing something wrong.

I think the point is that the "seller" is supposed to actually state a price rather than fish.

While I totally agree, if I needed to sell my Coupe, I'd be more than happy to say "Asking $25k" and if someone referenced the old thread where my car was discussed, I'd be more than happy to point out that while it was offered at that price before, this is the current price that I'll take for it or I'll keep it.

When a forum member wants to sell his/her car there is an expectation that they are very aware of the value of their coupe, and they will price it so as to reflect any work that may need to be done, its general condition, the amount of rust remediation that may need to be done etc. I know of at least two people who joined the forum so that they could become members of the community, learn about the cars and make a purchase and then work on, drive, upgrade and eventually contribute to the group. That being said I don't think it's really a good idea to use the site as an "auction"; kind of like selling a car to a family member and asking them how much they are willing to pay rather than saying hey, here's a great car, has a couple of problems, I'll sell it for $_____.

Just MHO.

(edit) Just saw your post, still think the note above is applicable to others- Thanks Larry, no disrespect intended.

Is that rusted completely through near the strut-top, or is it just the sound-deadening that looks that way? Difficult to see.
