Now I'm going to mechanical restore the car in order to be ready to the Italian sunny street!

Here some PICT....

P.S.: the body number is 2263220 and the engine number the same

Welcome Carmine!

You car looks great! Let us know what needs saving. Here is what I find interesting

  • It looks like you have original factory leather seats - rare for a CSI
  • It looks like you may have period correct 14” CSL Alpinas, a closeup of the lugs help
  • Interesting license plate bracket that has 1973+ bmw plate lights integrated into the bracket
  • The paint looks nice - is it original?
You can’t get much better than a Baikal CSI imo...

Italian delivery coupes have a hinged license plate bracket as the license plate is much taller and would hide the trunk lock, requiring lights on the side of the bracket as well.

Hi to everyone. In the end I have decided to do a full restoration of my car in order to check everything underneath the body.
Here some pics about the full strip down of the body before the thermal stripping and the body work.
I will then e- coat the entire body.

Have a nice day!
