I'm parting ways with the 1973 3.0cs coupe that I have owned for the 22+ years. It came to me as a car from Texas, but from the amount of rust, I would say it spent considerable time here in the Northeast.
Both fenders and the supporting structure was replaced as well as the rocker panels on both sides. All existing rust was cut out and patch panels welded in where appropriate. This work was also performed on the floor. Any existing rust was treated with acid rust killer and painted with rust prevention coatings. This work was performed by myself over 20 years ago, and has not returned, proving the effectiveness of the procedure.
The car was repainted from its original color of Verona to metallic Granarot. The re-paint was performed close to 20 years ago, and has held up reasonably well but could use a professional re-spray.

The car is in good mechanical condition. The engine was upgraded to a 3.5 liter engine from a BMW 535 (provenance unknown) All front end suspension components have been replaced along with 4 new Bilstein shocks, 4 new Continental Extreme Contact tires, BBS RS 3 piece rims, new Stainless Steel exhaust system, and period correct CoCo floor mats.

Windshield wiper motor, heater blower motor, both front window motors, ignition switch, driveshaft, and fan clutch are among the items that have been replaced in recent years.

The odometer reads a little more that 61,000 miles, and the car has been driven less than 5,000 miles in the past 20 years.

The majority of the work performed on the car has been done by myself, with the assistance of a full-time mechanic friend, so a documented history of the work performed is unavailable. It was never my intention to sell this car, so record-keeping was not a priority.

I understand the lack of documented history negatively affects the selling price of the car, bit it is a low mileage, rust-free example with many new parts.

I am asking for $35,000 but will entertain any reasonable offer.

Hi Scott.
I honestly know very little about the history of the coupe. I purchased it over 20 years ago, long before Carfax or Kelly Blue Book were a thing.
I purchased it from a friend who was selling it for his brother in law, who passed away shortly after my purchase.

Like I said, it was reportedly from Texas, but I have nothing to verify that and the rusty condition of the coupe when I got it implies that it spent most of it's life up here in the salty North East.
