A rare opportunity to purchase this 1973 Bmw Verona Red 3.0 CS. Very hard to find cars this well equipped these days. Selling this car to reduce my private collection of cars. This was next in line for a restoration but other project cars took precedence. Take a look at the great equipment on this car-

*Rare Triple Weber Carbs
*14" Alpina Wheels
*Matching front & rear Recaro seats
*Nardi steering wheel
*Sunroof
*AC

Car runs and drives. Recently replaced battery and fuel pump. Car is waiting for someone to do a restoration or can be parted out. The parts are very desirable for CS owners. I am not interested in parting out the car but it will be up to the new buyer to do so.

Here is a run down on the condition:

Exterior:
Paint is faded and oxidized. Body has heavy rust on body and chassis. Shock towers, rockers, spare tire well are all rusted and need repair. Floors and spare tire well are rusted through and open. Most of the parts are available for replacement or you will need to find parts used to replace. Chrome is good condition and all pieces are intact. Glass is all good and intact. Rear bumper is dented in.

Interior:
Recaro seats in good condition but would need to be reupholstered. Carpets are good but need replacement on floors. Wood pieces are in tact and good condition. Dash good condition with small crack on top.

Mechanical:
Car runs and drives. Engine sounds good and healthy. I was told last owner spent 3k going through the motor. It starts easily but starter wire was bypassed and requires a manual start by connecting wires in engine bay. Also fuel pump in rear is temporary unit and should be replaced with an original. Currently using a temporary fuel tank and fuel pump. Car needs to be sorted for rest of mechanical. Tires are excellent and tread is 80-90 percent. Brakes work and stop fine. Clutch shifts good. Tool kit is not complete. About half there.

Clean title in hand. $6500 obo

email me for pics. wont upload for some reason.

I believe this is the same car:

More than a little rust. More like Flintstones territory. Can you say parts car?

I guess that's what I meant to say, but was trying to be diplomatic because its not like the seller was claiming the car was "almost rust free" as so many do. Seems like he was trying to be straight up in the description on eBay. Don't know if I agree that the car is a feasible restoration candidate, but I guess that's in the mind of the buyer? That thing may crumble when the tow truck puts tension on the hook!

If it's not my money being lost, I'd like to see somebody restore it. Unlikely though.

If you could some how mate this one with that 74 98% rust free you would talking about one nice ride!

whats so great about this 5000 dollar donor car ?

i'd bid 200 on it

if the seller brings it to my house for free.

serious offer...

actually wow... i can't believe that junk got up to 4 grand... totally blows my mind

The color Verona does it. A true red from the factory.

For $200 bucks you keep it in your cheap wallet. I will deliver something to your house for free but it wont be the car. The car is worth money to someone who will part it out and make a nice E9. Try to find the weber triple carbs and original cloth recaros from that period.

whatever, you got so lucky with that car.
i kept thinking what could possibly add up that sum that one can't get otherwise
and all i come up with is that you got seriously lucky
that car is junk and the money for it spent was wasted. but you know that yourself

and btw i have the triple weber carbs(new) they are no more than 800 bucks...
