1973 BMW 3.0 CSL in Farmingdale, New York

VIN 2275384 - back on sale again after it didn't sell in Feb 2024. nice car, shame it doesn't have the correct seats, missing the rear bumper underriders. probably a big ask for a streetpack car in this market.
With you all the way on Crypto

Not much L in this CS. Steel bumpers, glass windows, AC PS, and PB mean this isn't all that light. Most of the features that make a CSL an L aren't present (ok, it does have manual windows up front and it looks like the rear side glass is fixed so the electric lifts and their weight is gone). While it's a nice car for sure it's not really as much a CSL as it is a normal CS built with the light body panels, aluminum hood and trunk lid and no sound insulation. City package cars were only 200 pounds lighter than a CSI and this is heavier than that. For me this is less desirable than a real lightweight car, but that's just me. For that ask it should have the correct seats and wheels too. It's well above my bank balance so that's academic anyway but that's my take on it. I guess a someone with deep pockets could want a CSL in their collection to check the box, but I don't see the inherent value here if you want to drive it. If you want a driver then you could get the same experience in a very nice car for half the money.
