HBChris is offering a coupe for sale on Bring a Trailer. It appears to be a very nicely done coupe.

Everybody, as you can see, this is a gorgeous coupe ... if you are looking for a well sorted car owned by a serious car guy ... this is a great opportunity. if you are in the market, look at this car - great color combo.

Beautiful car. Whenever I see Polaris over red I think about what I’d give to switch out my marine blue interior for red. It always reminds me of Mark Knopfler’s album “Kill to Get Crimson”. I’m weird like that. ;)

Interesting, you would have to pay me to accept a red interior. Enjoy your blue!

i used to say that too. i struggled with the idea of buying my Audi TTS as it had a red interior (with black carpet) ... but i love it ... color me converted. with a polaris (non CSL) car i think red, black and blue are my color preferences (in order) ... but i do like all of them and wouldn't tear any of them out unless the interior had to be redone. with chamonix - red, black, saddle and then blue ... but again, all are great. where i draw the line is with a black coupe ... i put red further down the list, unless its more of a red wine color

I hear you. There is red interior and then there is RED interior. The proper shade of red is important, too much is a distraction. Carpets, for instance, were not red from the factory and should never be. Unless you‘re going for that early 80’s Ford red interior look.
No bueno:

absolutely reminds me of my old silver on red '77 Ford F-350. yikes...

It's pretty - and while I also prefer blue with silver, the red looks good too - though perhaps the wood looks a little lost against it? Either way it's so much better than black, which I tend to think is a little dreary.

I have a red interior in my Polaris 3.0 cs project car. I’d trade for blue any day! My first 2800 was Polaris with blue. I loved it.

I'm definitely a fan of red interiors on these cars. I thought about changing my interior to a wine color leather to go with the Fjord. After getting a quote this summer to have it reupholstered in new leather:oops:, suddenly the existing grayish dark blue leather looked better than ever. :)

I saw this coupe on BaT. It has enough small parts missing (I know from all of the missing parts I needed to find for my car!) to allow the new owner to complete the parts puzzle if they choose to. Let's hope the new owner joins the forum.

this car shot up quickly but has stalled out for 36 hours or so. i am really hoping this thing picks back up as the car deserves the love. sure, all 50 year old cars have a few little things, but this car has so much that is right that you can afford to fix the little things to make it perfect. i would add a better steering wheel, Petri, Italvolanti or early Alpina and just enjoy the drive.

I think that's pretty much the norm on BaT. From what I've seen, bidding slows or stops after the 2nd day at about half or so of the final hammer price. Serious buyers don't seem to start bidding until there are 5-10 minutes left in the auction. This makes sense since there is no reason to bid up the car early in the auction...It's not a "live auction" where it can end any time bidding looks like it has stopped.
