1973 bmw 3.0csi

RE:

Doesn't look to bad but the devil is in the details. Not crazy about the dash/radio treatment or the excessive use of black paint all over the engine. I had 2265228, a CSi also with a sunroof. Could be interesting if the chassis and leak down checks out...

Curious about the engine identification placard. Unless this is for an updated/replacement engine, does it serve any specific purpose?

Gorgeous looking CSi, in my favourite config - Euro spec, Chamonix, manual 'box and Alpina's.
If the ad is correct and 'floor area' rust constitutes only 1% of the entire body, it shouldn't be too bad....should it?;-)

its amazing how the pictures stop short of the potentially bad areas. he tells you about the floor as that would stand out to the uninformed. one of the rockers looks bad - so what about the a or c pillar, or the back of the firewall ... or the front of the firewall and the interior of the fenders. you got it - NADA

this coupe has been for sale for a long time at hunting ridge motors. my guess is that the paint is a little tired. i don't know + haven't seen it. it looks like a strong survivor that needs some attention. i know it has a cloth interior and no A/C. as i mentioned in the current e9 values from hagerty's discussion ... this is almost 10k above the hagerty's condition 2 value. while i think that hagerty's still undervalues the coupe ... i guess that this might not be a true condition 2 coupe.

i will tell you that i was previously intrigued by this coupe - and wanted to go look at it ... but never made it up to NY for a meeting - so i could take a sidetrip to connecticut.
