1973 cs Advise Help

Hi All my name is Chris fairly new member here and a big e9 Fan

Need some help and advise i am going to look at a 73 CS i was told that its a Euro Spec car my main concern is RUST please let me know what i should look out for and what to check never had an e9 but i am pretty car oriented any help advise is great thanks

The rust lies beneath

I didn't find any rust on my car until I pulled the carpet and sound deadening material off the floors. From there I had some rust pock marks around the drains in the rear pans and right next to the accellerator pedal near the trans tunnel where the A/C evap was leaking down and settling.

Other places are under the sound deadening under the hood near the shock mounts.

Normal spots are the underneath ... poke at that undercoating and look for massive spreads of tarry ****.

Post pics of the car and the vin ... bet someone on this forum has seen it before. If youre lucky they have history with it. sfdon had worked on my car before I picked it up and he had a very honest an accurate assessment of it.
