I need the glove box switch PN: 61311353291 this was not installed in the vehicle. Next to the front hood release lever there is a brown and green wire (with plastic sheath) coming off a white connector this wire is always HOT can't find it on the schematic.

Any advice appreciated.
 
The wire and switch works like any door switch. Current going to the switch is positive. When the switch is depressed (door is shut), the circuit is open. When you open the door, the spring loaded switch opens, thereby closing the circuit. Positive runs to the light bulb, which is grounded elsewhere. The light turns on.

The switch mounts to an L-shaped bracket that is actually screwed to the console side. Make sure that you have the bracket as well.
