Is it me or in 1973, the small bumpers were still used, but they protrude more???

Just curious.

It's true that the 1973 USA only CS front and rear bumpers were "stretched" an inch longer both front and rear. In the 2 pics posted, they both appear to be pre-73 coupes, shot at slightly different angles, giving the illusion of a more protruding front bumper on the 1st coupe.

There are no dimensional differences in the bumpers used, it's just that they were mounted an inch forward in the front fender and an inch rearward in the quarter panel.

This is how the 73 USA front bumper looks. Notice the different mounting point, in comparison to the earlier front bumpers.

Yes, for the front bumper, 2 longer mounting mounting bars, with "Y" configuration (at bumper end) and in addition to thicker plastic spacers were used at both bumper ends at fenders.

For the rear bumper, 2 thick heavy duty steel loops were utilized to space out the bumper from the body. Not sure whether any plastic spacers were used for the bumper ends.

And they have spacers between the rear bumper overriders and the body.

I have two left spacers and am missing the right spacer.

Any source for spacers

My spacers are a bit the worse for wear. Any source for these? Stupid question I suppose.
