Hello e9coupe forum,
I just bought this 1974 E9 coupe and have been working on getting it put back together. I would like to get it on the road again, drive it a bit and see if I fall in love or if the search continues for the right car for me.
Its a pretty good car I think, minimal rust, 5sp conversion, new interior, Alpina wheels.
It still needs a lot of time put into it. I just replaced the steering wheel lock and put the sunroof back together.
Are there any other E9 people in the Berkeley area?
Johnny

Hello, welcome to the forum. Sharp car. While no where near Berkeley, I am near Madison, Wisconsin - the Berkeley of the midwest. :D Good luck putting the interior back together.

To the best of my knowledge this car has always been in northern California. In the San Francisco bay area.

I am looking through my moldings and it looks like I am missing one side of my door panel /interior panel stainless molding. Anyone have these or suggestions on where I might find any?
We used to have a BMW junk yard by the railroad tracks here in Berkeley but I just found out that it gone.

Check out the User Map link at the top of the page. There are a number of registered users in the bay area, but you'll have to go to the map and click on their names to see when they last logged in and send the active ones a private message (called begin a conversation on this forum)

Here's the list from one of the map pins- Oh, the links carry over and you can click on their names here to get their info panel, but there are a lot more on the map, so check that as well.

Double o2 Salvage in Hayward is a good local source for parts. I lived on the peninsula in the 90’s. Will be returning to Sonoma in a few years.
Welcome to the group. The forum search function is your new best friend.

After reading your post, I became very concerned that my wife may have just sold my dusty black coupe and my stash of parts. :D Congrats on number two.

I found it in Berkeley ! It was a neighbor that owned it less than a mile away. I wish I could keep both but I think one of them has to go.
The original owner of the black coupe is supposed to have been Gene Wilder.
