1974 csi

i don't know anything about this car, but it does look like the passenger door has been repainted as the color doesn't match the rear fender. there's something not right about the driver's side front fender seam under the hood. the rear seatbelts seem a little wrong. overall it looks pretty good, but no shots under the car.

Fjord is such a nice color.

One windshield wiper is black and the other one silver, which always reminds me when I dressed up in the dark at 4AM before a business day trip, and realized in the meeting I was wearing different color socks. Bummer.

Dash speakers and redknob? have to go. Boombox sized rear speakers a minus. Wrong rear seatbelts, white binding on carpet. Missing rear fog light.

But still, a pretty car. Interesting to see what it sells for.

It's my car and I literally shot those photos hours after I unloaded it from the truck. I will replace the wiper blades and run the car through the shop. It's a very nice driver with some blemishes in the paint. It's strange with the front right fender and door. If you look at the car dead on, it matches. From any angle other than that, there are slight shade differences. There was damage up front at one time in it's life but repaired very well. I'm not sure if that paint work was done at that time or at the same time as the rest of the car.
It is generally very solid and makes a great driver with no excuses. I will fix the wipers, interior trim, detail the engine bay, shoot underside photos and anything else that a serious buyer wants. I hate those rear speakers and will remove them.
I am going to run it through the shop and address any mechanical issues that I find.
Anyone that is interested and wants a full detailed description, please call me directly at 914 217-4817..........Mark

Mark, you might want to reconcile this ^^^ with the "No Known Accidents/No Known Bodywork" description in the ad. But thanks for sharing the details here...eBay shoppers might want to know this, too.

CoupeKing consignment car, disclosed accident, not repaired right, passenger side

I agree with ablank135, corrections to the eBay listing should be made.

Mark, you make a serious misrepresentation of this vehicle's condition in your eBay ad.

You should clearly state upfront that this car has been in an accident, been repaired and repainted as you did here. That is not mentioned in your eBay ad.

Why not Mark?

I am sure it will be a very elegant ride for somebody out on Long Island, and being a California car has a fresh start in terms of rust. Maybe a Nardi just to complete the list...

Good luck Mark.

Please reconcile why eBay ad has no mention of accident repair?

Please reconcile for the E9 Forum why your eBay ad has no mention of the accident and repairs that you mention here.

Corrections will be made. I have yet to get the car on the lift to examine it. There are other priorities right now as I am sure most of you are busy this time of the year as well. I explain to everyone that calls on the car and who is serious the full details as I know them. I have to have a close look at the car which I plan on doing today so that I can describe it in accurate detail. I jumped the gun due to my excitement about the car and the way it looks and drives and posted it ASAP. It's really a pretty tidy car that doesn't need much and I will do all that I have to to bring it up to my standards. I am a pretty anal guy and care about my reputation.
In my haste to post it, I neglected to go into that description box to describe the damage that I know there at one time or another. I will correct it once I determine the extent of the damage and the quality of the repairs.
Please cut me some slack here.......Happy Holiday to all.......

Looks like some easy fixes
Correction on e Bay made. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and welcomed.
I plan on changing the steering wheel and taking out those ridiculous rear speakers and dash mounted front speakers.
I am looking for a period correct sport steering wheel and a gauge cluster to go in the center of the dash. Does anyone have anything that would work?
I saw a set of Alpina Motormeter gauges that would fit.
I'll get it all done and am open to suggestions and better yet, HELP.......

see if you can PM corsachili to enquire about his CSL style mount for gauges. It pops right into the dash where your center speaker is.

Rust?

Any knowledge of rust, rust repair, anywhere on this car? Any photos of the undercarriage or rust issues would be appreciated.

Thanks Stan........I think Nicad fixed hat for me. I found a cool Alpina set but it's in Italy and more complicated. Rear speakers removed already and a new rear deck lid is being made. It's getting there.
Had it at the body shop today and they said what ever happened must have been very minor. There is no indication of any structural damage at all. All superficial. So far so good.

There are a few spots of surface bubbles. Please call me and I will describe them or send some photos that I shot today. I am putting it on a lift tomorrow to shoot the undercarriage. I would be glad to send those to you as well if you can wait until tomorrow.
