Hi there

I´m in the final steps of my 1975 2.5 cs restauration. I have a few doubts regarding the dash board. Hope some late e9 owners can help me.
-Where the hazard switch must be placed? On the right side of the steering wheel, on the front panel? Or on the right side of the wheel, underneath the front panel, near the stearing column?
-Where the fog light switch must be placed? On the right side of the wheel, underneath the front panel, near the stearing column? Or on the left side of the wheel, underneath the front panel, near the stearing column?
-Between the speedometer and the tachometer, there is a hole for a light bulb. What is the function of that light bulb? What colour shuld it be? Dose it have a chromed ring?

Thanks for your help.

Regarding the light bulb mentioned in my previous post, I´m attaching a picture to make it more clear. Thanks.

There are previous threads on that mysterious light, not sure if it was ever figured out what it's for

The green light above the instruments is a rear fog lamp indicator. The black ring (not chrome) seems to be correct

Thanks Christopher.
That actually makes sense. The rear defrost switch in my car is located in the console area next to the cigarrette lighter, and it has no indicator light inside. So it would make sense to have a light that indicates the driver whether the defrost is on or off. Are you sure the color of the light is green? In the early coupes, the color of the defrost light is orange.
If somebody ownes a coupe that has the original bulb installed, please send a picture.

Best regards,

There is no indicator for the rear screen defrost in the later model. To be clear the greeen indicator light in your instrument cluster is for the rear red lens fog lamp, mounted in the rear panel or under the rear bumper. Hope that helps
