1980 BMW 6-Series ALPINA B7S

Alpina BigCoupe Market Watch?

That car's been up for sale before. Maybe two years ago.

What's interesting to me is that a regular six in decent shape might set you back $8-10k, Ms- 12-14. Of course there are those that are more than decent that trade for much more fully restored or survivor.

Hardy and Beck tricked out turbo- have seen two- maybe $20k

Alpina- that's a very good price in the US. Anyone got an idea of survivors in Euro have traded for? Yannick? Orangener?

I know there are E9 guys on this board who have bigcoupes. So it would be interesting to hear what you guys have to say?

Don't get me wrong... I'm a driver who polishes. But the stable..... need a lift or blow out the garage.

big coupe market

I have one of the big coupes also. an 85 635 german market euro. I've had it for about thirteen years now. I've always loved it. It's a super driving car, comfortable but not over blown. You feel like your a driver (part of the machine) not just a pilot. I've replaced many bits, just to get that "tight" feel. But it's funny how life changes things. Now, I put most of the available time a money into my CS. I was just remarking to my wife that I can honestly say for the first time in thirteen years that I would sell the 635, but there is no market for buying them. I don't think that there has been any real appreciation in the value of these cars in the last decade. There are lots of them available for 3-4K. Really nice cars bring maybe 7-9K if your willing to wait for your price. They are very under appreciated (in autophile love as much as value). Truly a shame. They are great cars.

I agree Yannick. Small production; hard to guage. But if you just gotta have it, well, logic may have nothing to do with it.
