Here's the deal. Since we've all mourned the E3 market these days, I hereby offer my '72 Euro 3.0S for FREE. Buy my 2000 E39 M5 for the very reasonable amount of $70,000 and I'll throw in the E3 for free. What a deal!

Alternatively, I'll sell either one for $35,000, but where's the fun in that? Avoid the BaT commissions and make my wife happy (and me sad). Pics and details available.

Ok folks. The M5 will be on its way to Connecticut soon but the E3 3.0S is still hanging out in a garage bay here. You may recall that I listed it on BaT but it failed to meet a very reasonable reserve. Some scammer allegedly from California sent me a bogus check for the full asking price but my bank confirmed my worst suspicions.

According to the BAT auction your VIN is #300 7216... when I look at the E3 VIN listings:

There's an entry for 3.0s in the Linkslenker section, however the VIN range is given as 300 0001 – 301 3959. Just curious where your beautiful Euro 3.0s is located on that list of models and VIN numbers...

As I read the list, it looks to me that my VIN falls right in the middle of LHD 71-73 3.0S models. Am I missing something?

I apologize... I completely mis-read that LHD 71-73 row as 3000001 – 3003959 and thought they made 3959 vehicles.. (My mistake in red.)
