This came up on my E30 M3 list in case anyone is interested:
Gruppe,
I am getting out of the Getrag game in my silver E30 M3 race car.
Selling one of my "CR", or "265/5", or "Dogleg", or "Euro", or "whatever you want to call it" (1:1 5th) E30 M3 transmissions.
(1) 2 season used Bimmerworld race shifter.
(1) 85K mile US Spec E30 M3 OD Getrag 265/6 transmission
• The CR trans is of unknown age and mileage but I have been using it for several years with no issues.
Shifts well, no noises, no ground up bits upon fluid changes.
Hyper-regular fluid flushes.
Mechanical speedo drive has been removed and plugged This particular one does NOT have the syncro reverse.
CR Trans - $1800
• The US spec OD trans was removed from my car at or around 85,000 miles. No issues, bog standard US spec E30 M3 trans, no issues at all.
~85k mile US OD 265/6 - $450 OBO
• The Bimmerworld race shifter is what it is, IMHO probably the nicest BMW race shifter on the market. Tank-like construction. Super precise, clean shifts. Nicer than the original E30 M3 DTM shifters. It will likely never wear out or break in our lifetime. Its not listed for E30s on their website, but it fits perfectly if you rotate the mounting plate 180° from how they sell it for E36, & E46.
On mine I have had the body mount plate drilled (and tapped) for more robust 8mm hardware. The tapping makes for WAY easier install & removal than the way its sold (6mm nuts &bolts). Mine now bolts in easily with one man, one wrench from underneath.
Bimmerworld Race Shifter - $300
Selling details.
1) I am away until Jan 22 so I cannot physically action a transfer before then (and both shifter and CR trans are still in my car).
If sale is agreed on either of those pieces I'll take them out as soon as I get home. OD box is sitting on a shelf.
2) I really,,, really,,, really prefer not to ship the transmissions.
Too many things can happen in shipping something that heavy, semi-rare (in the case of the CR box) and fragile.
I am hoping to find a buyer within semi-sane driving distance from Northeast PA.
I'll happily meet somewhere mutual to avoid crating and shipping.
3) My contact info (570) 840-0995 cel, [email protected] Until Jan 22, i'm 5 hours behind eastern time, so please factor that into any phone calls.
I'll reply to emails and texts as quickly as possible.
Cheers
