2000c driveshaft parts needed

Hi, Still inching forward on my 2000c project. 5 speed installed. I have the original long diff. Going to attempt to modify original driveshaft. i need the large metal bracket that goes under the foam absorbers. My car came complete but in boxes and to date I have barely had a single thing missing. I have some doubts that this piece was even included, as there are no pertinent holes in the floor to mount it, but I do have the absorbers as mentioned. I also dont have that smaller bracket off to the right. any help would be great. fred

yes, looks like two of them with a spacer screw between them. also need the steel sleeve bushings for absorbers.

My car did not come with any of that assembly. Me thinks you don't necessarily need it...

If you are not a member on BMW2002FAQ, I can post this in the NK Discussion pages and perhaps someone there can provide assistance?

Zinz , I think I am going to go agead and adapt some brackets to hang the driveshaft with the traditional center support bearing. Harry , I hope you didnt spend too much effort looking. To be continued. I also nixed the thought of a new driveshaft and have decided to adjust the length of my original driveshaft and re-fit a four bolt flange from a 4 speed. Fred
