Happy New Year everyone,

I hope the coming year wil be kind to all of my fellow coupe owners and allow us all the time to complete, or start our projects.

This is the first forum/ group that I have ever belonged to and I’m happy to say that it’s been a hugely positive experience, I have learnt so much about our shared passion, , and about people from all over the world that have so much to give and share, gents it’s been a pleasure.

Although our cars are never really ‘finished ‘ I feel the need to start something new and with that in mind, I am going to take a second longer look at a 1975 2002, manual, carby, stock. I notice many of you have or have owned one of these and would like your opinions on finding a forum similar to this one to help me should I go forward, so guys any suggestions

That link is the main discussion page, but the site is loaded with many, many pages of tutorials, reference, and instruction. ...an almost boundless supply of info for the 2002. I encourage you to use the pull-down menus to surf the site for future reference. The 2002 is a simpler platform than the e9, and its honest about its rust

Yep, the FAQ, for sure. I restored a 69 1600, ground up, and the FAQ was invaluable for info, parts, and great people to count on. Good luck! Also, Steve Nelson at Top End Performance has always been a huge help with 02's. He's an engine master with those things..I've known him for 15+ years and he's always helped when I had questions. Good guy.

Suggest you turn your search to pre-74. No big bumpers, no square tail lights, quicker, the real deal.

I'd second that, and add post '70. As this car evolved, parts were improved, specifically the rear axles (half shafts), joints, etc. '71, '72, or '73 is my personal sweet spot.
