2002 Gathering?

FOLKS:

I was out driving my Coupe on Saturday near Crissy Field/Marina in San Francisco. Out of the blue there were no less than 20 or so 2002's that passed me as I drove towards the Golden Gate/Headlands. They were all in line. Some great examples in beautiful colors.

Anyone know what that was about? I tried to join the fun - but figured it wasn't my place. Then it struck me we should do that more often here in NorCal??
 
Well at least that explains all the 02s I saw driving around on the weekend, even if I didn't see them all together. I also spy a 5-series in the group of pics, which implies an E9 or two might be welcome.

I'm definitely going to try to head up to Edgehill Way. Who knew there was a dirt road in the city of SF?
