Here's an interesting situation... a very nice 2002 tii or a M3...

The temp gauge on the tii should be slightly below 1/2, not above it. In spite of the claim
of new radiator, water pump, thermostat, that car is still overheating.

you never know the condition of the wiring harness or a bad sensor. sometimes a little resistance can raise the temp.
Good point. The sensor and the wiring can be tested with simple tools like a digital kitchen thermometer and a digital VOM. Far less money, time, or dirt than the replacement of any physical component.
