So who will take home the newly created and now coveted LOA-FWIW trophy in 2016?
Will it stay stateside? Will it go over the pond back to the 'fatherland' in some visitor's suitcase?

Time will certainly tell.... ;)

okay Barry, John, Rob + Wayne ... what kind of motors / special work did you do to get these times? i don't want to compete, i just want faster than 1 minute windows.

Wayne made a beautiful trophy for the winner.

OK, Now I'm I bit hurt seeing there is a " power switch " on the trophy.

Steve
The rules are start at the bottom - go up then back down. #asfastasyoucan...

I worked on my front window about 4 years ago, just giving it a quick cleaning. All stock parts - no relays... Now the passengers side is another story

I absolutely will n:Dt agree to exclusionary rules. Hand rollers should be allowed:p

Go down to the bottom then come back to the top. Isn't that an old rock song. Helter skelter by those english guys with pointy shoes?

That trophy is hysterical.

I was hoping for better than mid pack. Next year I'm going pneumatic or hydraulic.

You choose, rear window must be up and door closed, engine can be running. The four fastest windows were manual, kinda defeats the purpose of fastest window as the manual windows don't have the same handicaps IMHO. That is why trophy is a window switch.

You won in the "power" division with a time of 6.4 seconds and that's all that you did? I'm amazed!

I have relays, but stock motors, and mine still crawl.

One observation: If your front window is tight against the rear window seal, you'll have less wind noise, but slower operation. For minimum time, you need your windows adjusted so they open out and away from the car.

Oh beleive me, my manual windows have handicaps too:shock: for starters they are in my bav. Does that count?

Since the patina of originality is so prized today, it would seem fitting to provide a suitable trophy to the "slowest" windows in the west too... perhaps the same sort with a snail atop the switch?

I think I have a shot at it...

I thought I would share with Everyone how long it takes to put my windows up and down. Getting the windows sorted was very difficult but I am glad I finally did so. Curious how long your windows take to put up and down and if they go up uniformly
