Hello board,

Looking through the mounds of paperwork I have collected through the years I found the original service book, stamped and signed for this coupe. I believe I came across this when I purchased an owners manual some years back.

Car was purchased 10/17/1972 at Import Cars of Hillsdale, CA.

Really nice piece of history that I would like to see reunited with the coupe.

According to the old CS Registry mailing list in 1992 it was owned by Colin Reid in Oakland. It is not in our e9 registry yet, Polaris/Blue.

Thanks for jogging my memory with that name. Can't believe I did not remember....

Sometime in the late 1990's I saw an ad on craigslist for a box of e9 parts in Berkeley. I bought a random assortment of manuals, roundels etc from Colin Reid. This is where I came upon the manual and the service manual.

I remember the story being that after complete restoration the car was rear ended and totaled. He was heart broken and it was hard for him to talk about it at the time.

Anyway, sorry for bugging the board with a lost memory.

I guess you can chalk that VIN up in the retired section of the registry.
