A friend has asked me to help him sell his coupe. I have driven it but am no mechanic so all I can say is that it does drive via a 4 spd manual and has been owned for the last few years by a very conscientious caretaker. He would like 15K for the car and it is not currently listed anywhere else for the time being. I suggested this forum would be the best place to identify a new home and that good or bad he would get a fair price. I recommended he put the car on a lift and take pictures of the underside which he is working on since rust will be the determining factor for whether it's worth 8 or 20K. Here are the pictures I have of the car. If you have an interest or questions, please call or email Jim directly at 843-452-2131 or [email protected]

Keep the photos coming! Putting higher res ones on a photo hosting site would help those interested figure out what is for sale. Good luck.

I will get some higher res photos and will ask others to post them as well should you receive them directly from Jim.

I have been told the car is sold. I am not sure to who or where but hopefully to someone on this forum.

I just sent off a deposit for the car to Jim. He was very helpful and was able to provide a lot of information and photos about the car.

Cheers

The car arrived last week and it is fantastic. Not going to be able to drive it much here in Houston until I get the A/C back up and running though as it's been 90+ every day. Car (engine) runs nice and cool though :)

Cheers and thanks to bwalvoord for helping me find this great car.

If it works in New Orleans it ought to work in Houston:

I have been looking for one in this price range. Would you mind still posting pics so I can get an idea on how much to spend for a given condition.

If you are going to open up the system may consider putting in the parallel flow condesnor - it's cheap and makes a big difference over the outdated part in place now.

Thanks Steve,

I've read your post on the A/C conversion before and appreciate the info. Since my car came w/ a replacement new OEM compressor in the trunk, I think for now I am just going to swap them.

Here are the photos of the car I received from the seller:
