Hello.
Got some problems with seals and manual in '69 2800 cs golde sunroof. Probably i have a "early"? sunroof. Pic attached.
In front of that sunroof I got felt seal. What about seal in rear part and under sunroof?
Also got some rubber parts that i don't recognize and can't find them on diagrams W-N also FAQ part about rubbers didn't resolve my problem ;)

Hello, although one year after your post;

I recognised your type of sunroof in my e9 3.0 CSi 1972
I have/had the same shaped sunroof and also couldn’t recognise it on the BMW’s drawings. The headliner didn’t fit as it should be etc.etc.

The attached photos are the 2000cs sunroof (in my e9 )

When I started with the restoration there was written “2000cs” on it with a marker. So in my opinion it was a after sales sunroof fit.

With this knowledge you can simply see the difference between e9 and 2000cs.

By the way: I am working on a original replacement sunroof.

Not sure how yours differs but on an e9 Golde sunroof there is a velvet rope (welting) seal with metal reenforcement that glues to the front and sides of the opening in the car and tilts downwards when it gets to the rear of the opening. Then there is a softer (no metal) but similar looking velvet seal that glues to the rear edge of the moveable roof panel and wraps around about 1.5" and then angles downward. These two seals overlap/dovetail to each other near the rear corners when closed. There is also a rubber seal that glues to the flange at the rear of the moveable roof panel which seals it to the roof when closed, preventing water from getting into the headliner area.
